Yoga Therapy

Do you feel overwhelmed and tired? Do you need time to step back and reflect on your life? Yoga is a great tool, not only to improve your physical and mental health but to find the courage to live the life you truly deserve.

Yoga therapy allows you to reflect on your unique needs and objectives and to receive a tailored made sequence which you can practice at home.

While general yoga classes may help with some ailments, specialist yoga therapy is more suited for others. Yoga therapy is safer and more effective than general yoga classes which may exacerbate your ailment. Prior experience of Yoga is not necessary. I adapt the practice to your level of health, fitness, flexibility and prior experience of yoga.

Yoga therapy can be done online via Skype or in person. This can be done weekly, fortnightly or monthly for a set period of time which suit your needs and objectives.

What can it be helpful for?

  • To reduce stress and anxiety.
  • To reduce symptoms of an illness or injury.
  • To reduce physical and mental suffering.
  • To improve posture, back problems and arthritis.
  • To improve quality of life.
  • To lower high blood pressure.

Group Classes

Jean adapts his teaching to the needs and ability of his students by considering each person as a whole (body, mind, and spirit). The aim of each class is to encourage students to reconnect to their true self by placing emphasis on synchronising breath with movement. Practising in such a way is an invitation to heal one’s emotional conflicts and results in a state of harmony between mind, body, and spirit. Each practice is an inner journey of self-exploration through asanas (postures), meditation and pranayama (breathing exercises) which leads to a deeper understanding of one’s inner world.

Cancellation policy: Up to 24 hours before class, the full fee is refundable, however, it is non-refundable within 24 hours of class.

About

Yoga crossed Jean’s path when he injured himself while practising Capoeira. On the road to recovery, he discovered the therapeutic aspect of Yoga and eventually managed to heal his long-standing injury. When he realised that there was more to Yoga than just a physical practice, he decided to study its philosophical aspect. His curious nature and his desire to understand the world around him led him to leave the UK to go traveling. His first destination was, of course, India where he traveled for several months and eventually trained as a Yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance (500h). After a short trip to Nepal, he continued on his path and trained in Traditional Thai Massage at the International Massage School in Chiang Mai: ITM. On his return to Europe, he decided to teach Yoga in order to share the many benefits of the practice. He teaches a style of Yoga which caters for the needs and ability of his students. He sees each practice as an inner journey of self-exploration through asanas (postures), meditation and pranayama (breathing exercises) which leads to a deeper understanding of one’s inner world.
